Antilli German Shepherd Dogs were established in 1979 by Carol Eastwood and the kennel name Antilli registered as a KC Affix in 1987. Carol became a Kennel Club approved breed judge in 1988 and bred her first show champion in 1996. Carol has been a Kennel Club approved championship show judge since 2000 and has awarded challenge certificates/green stars in Great Britain, Ireland and New Zealand.
In 2001 Carol went into partnership with her best friend Alyson Reilly and the Kennel Club granted Alyson a seperate interest in the Kennel Affix Antilli. We have been breeding joint litters together since then. Alyson has been in German Shepherds since 1967 and is a fully qualified veterinary nurse. She has competed in agility, obedience, schutzhund and showing and is an approved international agility judge.
We only breed maybe one or occasionally 2 litters a year. These are carefully planned and researched, we only breed from low scoring hip and elbow tested dogs. Where possible we like to train all our dogs to pass a working qualification as we firmly believe that the GSD should be bred for good health, temperament, beauty and brains. We never compromise on any of the above.
